Weird lump on chicken’s neck

Hi, im wondering what this lump could be is it bruising or a parasitic worm, should i be concerned, do i remove it or let it be? Answers would help tremendously, Thanks!

Is this a chicken or some other species? I am wondering where the leg scales are. The lump appears to be a possible cyst. I would leave it alone.

It’s a naked neck hen, the lump is on her neck.

Assuming the lump is in fact a feather cyst, you may take a sharp razor blade or Exacto knife and make a tiny incision in the center, about half a centimeter, and this should release the feather follicle. It should pop up and unfurl. If not, poke it with the sharp tip to release it. Then put a dab if wound ointment on the incision.
