Weird Neck Dance

One of my 12 week old Americaunas is doing a strange thing with her neck. It does not sound like crookneck.

She is doing a side to side motion with her neck, it almost looks like a dance. None of the other chicks are doing this. Any ideas? It just started this morning.

It's kind of like the "Walk like an Egyptian" dance, except from side to side.

I don't know if anything is wrong w/ her does she eat and drink okay?

She is eating & drinking OK, but I separated her from the rest of the girls just in case.

I had a roo that did that a frizzled cochin, just every now and then, I never let him mate but that was it all he did, he was completely health other then that. And yes it is just like a dance.

I had a silkie hen that did something similar only she would twist her head back and around. I was told that it was a selenium deficency. Added some to her diet but I may have done too little to late as it never totally cleared up. (she was a rescue chicken) You might try adding some to her feed. Get the capusle type and break it open.
