Weird noise and Behavior

How much longer do you think it will be until her first egg?
It's hard to say precisely. I've had it range from the same day to couple weeks, which was like torture! lol! Hopefully, you won't have to wait that long! Do you have a cozy nesting box ready? I initally put a plastic easter egg in mine to help them figure out where to lay.

Not yet, but there is hay in it and that's probably all.

My first "nesting box" was a wire basket I took from my closet and lined with a cardboard cereal box and pine shavings, so really anything they can comfortably sit in and not have the egg roll out will work just fine.

Ok! Here's a pic of my coop if it'll help you understand what I have.

This is a pic I just took of her comb if it’ll help you tell when she’ll MAYBE start to lay

Definitely looking very pink! It'll get bigger as she gets older, believe it or not. Let me see if I have any pics of my EEs combs.

This was the most recent pic of her comb that I could find, and it's not a great one, lol. But you can see the size and color pretty well.

yeah it's pretty close to that! I changed my profile pic to Robin since while I got the comb pics I liked this one.

If you have fake eggs/golf balls I'd go ahead and put them in now, so your chicken can start seeing it as a good spot to lay. All my pullets began laying within about 5-10 days after squatting, there's no hard and fast rule though.

She is definitely about to lay!! I had a girl who liked to come in every morning and lay in the bag of pine shavings i kept in the laundry room. Though they had nest boxes. If u see her nest shopping ( sitting in a box making a nest) then she is definitely about to lay. Congrats hope you get your egg soon!!
