I LOVE it, but I'm going to turn into a hunchback sitting the way I have to so he doesn't scratch my shoulder! He is a sweetie though!

I love D'uccles...they are so friendly. I have the sweetest little D'uccle house hen right now. Her name is Meg...what's your roo's name?

LOL None of that yet...HE did steal a drink of my coffee though! I posted a pic under feeding time!

My son named him Buddie...he's the only d uccle i have left and he's a sweetie! ALWAYS wants to be held...I guess if I didn't oblige every time he might quit...But whats the fun in that?!

Could it be love? Do you see little hearts sailing above his head?
Pepper, our rooster would rather hump our shoes, then any hen, Any day. Chickens are strange that way. Pepper has an apartment in the laundry room where he spends his nights and during the day he is either in the den pecking leftover cockateil food or pecking the front door to go out and poo. He doesnt like any kind of bag and attacks it, he also has a love thing for those long 12 pack coke boxes and turned over fortiflex rubber bowls.
He knows his name very well and comes running when we call. His favorite thing is to walk with me and the dog down to the bus stop where he greets my son.
Anyone want pictures?
He is 1/2 silkie and 1/2 cochin. He is a beautiful bird and very protective over me. He will attack my husband if he tries to get too close when Pep is around.
You gotta love em!

Thats him as a peep in my avatar. He was hatched in an incubator by himself and raised by us. He has grown up around cats and dogs and isnt afraid of much. He learned alot from my flock before they were all murdered by weasels.

Pepper during our last snow. He insists on going with me to feed the animals. No matter what the weather is like.
