Weird Sights on the Highway

I always travel with a folding saw and a buck knife in my glove box. I have sawed off a few antlers and used the knife to finish off a wounded deer more often than I care to admit. Not a lot of people stop when they smack a deer out here, and I carry the knife for that specific reason.

DB and I make drawer pulls, towel racks, toilet paper holders, cabinet handles, etc. with the horns. I've never sold a set that I cut, simply because sawing the antlers off the head of a deer diminishes the value entirely, and most people wouldn't take a second look.

Uh Oh...my first thought when I read this was 'Who DOESN'T keep a saw in their vehicle?'

WHOOOO! You know it's BYC when there are two or more definitions of "normal" and all are accepted.

we had to drive out to ohio sat. to pick up some mini horses, we also saw a man doing the same thing, course before that i had seen several dead deer with no heads, wondered why someone would do that, a friend told us last night why they do it and that if they get caught, its 20.00 a point if you don't have the permit, plus they take the head, we're also in pa.

Can you explain this a little? What is rattling? Thanks

Clashing 2 antlers together to sound like fighting or rubbing bucks. It lures in other bucks.

Oh, okay, thank you. I learned something new today!

I have another question about this. Is rattling legal? Thanks!
