Weird things only poultry people get.

My girls free range most days, but if I have a chicken sitter I tell them to keep them in the run.
I tell the sitter to not let them out ‘no matter what they say!’ And the sitters are always confused at first that chickens would be smart enough to try to convince people of things.
After I get back the sitters always say ‘they did try to tell me they were allowed out!’

So true, lol, they always are telling us to let them out!

Really good point! I was wondering about soft treats like that, but didn't want to risk it. I need to get some plain yoghurt thought, I only have the fruity ones with added sugar that are delish for me but not great for the girls.

Yeah, avoid flavored yogurts. I read somewhere boiled eggs can also be given without grit.

I agree. If I ever get out of debt and get a better paying job, I’m planning on moving out farther into the country and opening up a rooster sanctuary. I will take every rooster offered to me, except sick ones, and give them buds and a nice home. But I’m not planning on getting out of debt any time soon.

Getting into debt is why I don't want to be an adult....scary stuff. I have evil plans for when I become an adult (Step one: get lots of land. Step two: get chickens, ducks, and quail) (real plans are more complex) (I have a thread for them lol) I still don't know how these plans will turn out.

My chickens just sit by the door and stare at the birds jumping around outside for most of the day, happily staying in their run. But I have had times where my Buff Orpington pullet has convinced me free ranging would be a good idea.

Mine are only allowed out with human or dog supervision. I’m sure what non free rangers don’t know they won’t miss, but mine cry crocodile tears if they don’t get out for a few hours.

If you go to college, and the prices don’t drop soon, expect at least 20 years of debt just from that. Adulting is scary, enjoy not having to deal with it.

My EEs are terrified of the outside world, but my buff Orpington is known to also cry without being let out.

If you work for a non profit like a university then your debt is forgiven after 10 years.

Yeah......................................college is my main concern..............I'm working hard to keep my grades up and seem good at things, to hopefully get at least a partial scholarship (i don't want to mess up this thread, but here's a thread where I'll happily talk about that stuff, as well as other stuff i'd like to have happen in my future)

Yes, but i haven’t even been out of college for 10 years, so even if I did I still wouldn’t be out of debt. I like my current job, and non profits don’t pay much.

I got a scholarship, but having gotten two degrees, I’m still in boatloads of debt.

I would give you some advice. 1. Make your parents pay for your college tuition.
2. Make your parents pay for your college tuition.
