Huh? Their scientific name even pretty much says they are man made "Gallus gallus domesticus" the domesticus part means they are domesticated, Jungle Fowl are simply Gallus

Ok....now that I‘ve calmed down, I’ll explain.
As someone who has a 2-ft stack of chicken books in her room, and who researched chickens for 4 whole years before getting them,........I just can’t. How can people know so little?

I guess everyone has to start somewhere. The only cure for ignorance is information.

But whoever asked ‘are chickens man made’ likely wasn’t talking about domestication.

When I go check on my chicks I call them all "babies". Such as: "Good morning babies." And they all (well some of them) peep back at me.
