Are cowboys chickens? All of them. But the male ones lay green eggs.
Oh and only chickens have spurs! Don't mix them up.

I have names for 13 of 15 of my chickens, and I can tell them apart, and when I talk to them I always use their names. I have 2 RIR x Silkies that are so far unnamed identical twins. I think I'll call them both Muffy. Fluffy is their mom. 10 8 day old Light Brahmas, in the brooder, aren't named yet. The 6 Guinea Fowl will remain anonymous until we see if they will hang around once they free range. As pretty and common as names like Katrina or Casey are, I rather like more unusual ones, such as Gail or Monica.
Lily, Catherine, Ann, Holly....
Well, with that random bit of randomness, who else has twenty or more birds and has named all of them? And can tell them apart?
I have... three guineas, five roosters, thirteen hens, and two small pullet chicks. All are named.
What do you guys think -- have I lost it? In my mind, I never had "it" to begin with.
I'm told they are working on egg sexing technology in the Netherlands. Very egg-citing. I can't wait.I would be the richest person in the world if I could. I could sell girl eggs to people if they want girls, I could sell boy eggs to people if they want boys. I would have an amazing business.
That sounds great. So many poor cockerels won’t die right after they are hatched, they will just never exist.I'm told they are working on egg sexing technology in the Netherlands. Very egg-citing. I can't wait.
And I learned today that rooster eggs taste best. That sounds great. So many poor cockerels won’t die right after they are hatched, they will just never exist.
Yes yum yumAnd I learned today that rooster eggs taste best.![]()
(safety glasses)I'm not fast enough to evade a peck to my eyeball. Kissing a chicken isn't worth blindness.
Duh, for green eggs.Right?? I don’t understand how that isn’t common knowledge. Like if all eggs are “turning into” chicks..then what’s the point of a rooster?
Hmmm...solid point...I do like green eggs..but what about the ham?!?Duh, for green eggs.
no hamHmmm...solid point...I do like green eggs..but what about the ham?!?
