Weird wild duckling

It took a lot of looking, but I think I found him! He was with friends, though I noticed, later, he was sitting off by himself like he used to. He's still small, but not the smallest of all the young mallards.



One thing I've noticed about him is that his legs are much more yellow than orange compared to the other ducks.

Sure looks like him, isn't his bill longer than most Mallard bills? he sure is pretty.

Yes, he's got a weird bill. You can even see it in his duckling pictures.

Just wanted to jump in and say I've read all 17 pages, lol...thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed watching Trouble grow and reading about all of his antics.

Thanks! I actually hoped he turned out to be something different, but am glad he made it to adulthood. He's hanging out with the other young males and even a female or two joins them once in a while.

I looked very carefully at a lot of ducks and I think this might be our Troublemaker who is now a medium-sized mallard. There is another duck, smaller, that looks almost exactly like him, but with a fuller head and still has dark marks on his bill, which Trouble has already lost.

This duck was with a girl! But, his mama was nearby, too. The girl duck may have been his sister. He's a little young to be in a committed relationship (lol).

Oh my gosh has he turned into a handsome boy.. those girls are going to be chasing him [when he gets old enough for a serious relationship]
