Yeah I have heard they can be more aggressive. I prefer my orpingtons, Marans, speckled Sussex and D’Uccles. All sweet birds.I used to……… would not recommend.
The large fowl ones tend to be dominant and aggressive. However, I hear nothing about the bantam version other than them being the sweetest things ever. Which I have to agree, because I have Ruby (a Rhode Island Red Bantam hen) and I love her.I used to……… would not recommend.
Pretty much all roosters do that. Its how they tell the hens they want to mateMy rooster doesn’t do this anymore, but when I first introduced him to the flock, he always did this silly little dance before he tried to mate the hens. He hardly ever got one then, because he spent so much time running in circles and flapping his wings.
