Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Next time your on the right side of the continent let us know and we'll take you there.
Yea, I was expecting softer, gentler poultry people.

Well you know me - I used to be far left but now I'm more towards the middle.

But you never know, eventually we will take a road trip. We want to see Smoky Mountains National Park someday.

I've been fishing for a happy, funny, friendly place to plop down.

Glad you like it here too! Yer fun! Many of us here have been together thru a few threads, so we can be a bit clique-ish, but also welcoming. Stick with us, we're a good group. ;)

Yes, since the dangerous form is reserved for those who threaten one of our own.  If you need help with anything, just let us know.

Um...yea, we can be brutal too :D

Another one of my pullets started laying today. It's the blueish egg on the left. The greenish egg is from my pullet that started a couple days ago. The other eggs are from my Doms and Cream legbars.

Pwetty! :clap

Some people just remind me of teenaged cockerels..... :p

Ain't that the truth!

I'm super glad you like your lily pad so well

Take it easy on that ankle now woman! You know what you'd be telling any of the rest of us, so take your own advice, huh!

I think it's like talking to the wind. Of course I am the guy who got caught on top of the pigeon loft 18 hours after hernia surgery. The Princess just slammed the door and said, "Not particularly intelligent." Heck, we knew that a long time ago.

WV you asked for pictures earlier. These are the two latest projects I was doing.

New gate on the new goat extension of the run. Two chicken coops are to the left of the picture.

New hay feeder for the goats.

DH has never been "back East". When I was young, we'd either drive cross country from CA or fly into Greensboro, NC and drive to Bluefield, VA. We'd also drive through the mountains to my dad's cousin's place near Frog Level, VA. (Thought that was the greatest name for a town.)

I really want to take DH there some day.

I tried and failed to post this when Sour was taking dinner orders. This is where Mrs. Oz and I often go on date night. It's in the middle of farmland and named Grits and Groceries. It's owned and operated by a couple, Joe and Heidi. Joe was Emeril Lagasse's pastry chef for ten years and Heidi owned a restaurant in New Orleans. This big rooster sits in front of the restaurant which is an old gas station.

They brought cultured vittles to hick town.
I need one of those giant rooster statues in my yard. Better yet, on the roof.
