Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Still snowing heavily and blowing hard - a Nor'Easter for sure. Power kicked off about an hour ago, but we have plenty of propane and generator is churning away. Good news is I just got a call from the handler, and Tee Party just won his third field trial in a row. Question was asked, "How long can he keep running this good ?" Wish I knew the answer to that. The federation trials start in Three weeks.

Was just on the phone with my sister from up your way, talking about this Nor'Easter. Hope yall stay safe, sound, and secure.

Awesome for Tee Party! :clap

Ride the train to the end of the line

So last night after the ducks went in their pen for the evening, I took the eggs from Malibu's nest under the grass/bush/whatever that thing is. This morning, she was frantically walking back and forth under there, I guess looking for the eggs. Hubby says we can put a temporary fence around it, if I want to let her sit out there. So I took the 2 eggs from yesterday back out to her, rolled them into the divot she had made, and went back to my bedroom window to watch. She settled right one them. We'll see what happens today.
The good thing about where she chose, is its away from the dogs and other chickens, etc, but its outside my main yard. But being so close to my bedroom window, I would have good view of her. Or I could consider moving her later. I also have a security camera close above her that I could probably point down on her, and monitor remotely! :) I definitely get the broody bug impression from her, so we'll see.

Zoomed from my bedroom window.

Aww, put a temp fence up & let her become a mama where she's comfy. :p

I was in TSC this morning. .. barely resisted those stinkin' cute ducks. The little boogers will look right up at you with those little duck eyes...
Chickens are just eating, drinking and pooping. Easy to pass up. Ducks... no. No ducks. No. No. No.

Ducks 4 beeper babies Mar '16.jpg I'm quite sure you want some of these

:clap Congrats to Tee Party! Stay safe, Sour!!

Wow, great news on the field trial wins! I used to show in obedience, my Shetland Sheepdog had multiple high in trials. How sweet it is!
We have at least 6 trees down right around the buildings mostly! I am a nervous wreck! I begged hubby to come in because it is still blowing. Not happening. He has one pine cut up already. One is across the trail where i drive the Mule to get to the hoop coop. I went to the doctor yesterday and he says there is something rubbing inside my knees ( i fell hard on both of them months ago but the Ortho doc said no broken bones) , and i should stay off my feet a couple of weeks and wear braces. So my plan was to feed critters using the Mule, less walking. So much for that plan! It is scary out there with 60 mph wind gusts blowing , trees waving every which way!

The green to the left of the picture is a pine tree that fell over, big root ball up too!
