Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I do love toads actually. . lol. And frogs.

But I don't wanna be one.;)

Warts are not the issue. . it's the bags around my eyes from not enough sleep. . and the bloating that comes for us woman folk once a month
:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau
I like frogs and toads too...:lau

I'm having the same "bags under my eyes" issue from lack of sleep..:hmm
Not the bloating tho, not for a couple more weeks...:gig

Regarding a test box, I doubt it will make a difference. From what @ChickenCanoe says, & he's normally pretty accurate, all parcels are regularly placed on conveyor belts, possibly rollers, & dropped into hoppers on the other end. It would take someone who really cares for it to be otherwise.
It is unlikely that any human hands touch most packages from the time they leave the PO of origin till they arrive at the destination PO.
I was told that special handling can be purchased for an additional $10.45 per package. Apparently those packages are hand carried part of the way. Probably used for poultry and bees. I haven't done it but likely worth the extra cost.

I think I'll try it the next time I send birds or eggs to Puerto Rico. Last time eggs were apparently x-rayed and there were deformities in the hatchlings.
I was driving through Amish country once, up around Lancaster, PA, and happened onto a farmer in a field, pulling a piece of equipment (don't know what anymore) behind at least a 6-horse hitch, maybe more, all side by side. They were at the end of the field, ready to turn & head back the way they'd come. I pulled off the road to watch as the inside horse turned in place and the rest walked in an ever-larger arc, depending on how far up the line they were. Imagine how well that team had to be trained! Quite a sight for someone accustomed to seeing tractors doing all the work.
I've never worked teams of horses but my dad, uncles and grandfather did. We had the timber cut on our farm. The two guys and two draft horses pulled a lot of logs off the property. I was about 12 and watched them work every day.
Warm but overcast here. Probably mid 70's today.
I've got someone coming to pick up a few of my SBs. I guess I will have to hatch more if I want more for myself. Darn. :)
Had a good run. E is working on financial aid stuff for son #2 who was accepted to Dordt's Engineering program in the fall. We are trying to see if we can swing it financially. Anybody live near that section of Iowa (Sioux Center) ?
Getting below freezing tonight and down to 27 F tomorrow night. I'm afraid all the apricots will be lost again this year. The trees are in full bloom. Probably peaches will be lost too.

So hubby and I decided yesterday that we have to get rid of a drake. After Sofie s jail break yesterday she got roughed up pretty bad and so I took Memphis out and peace unto all was restored in the palace. All the girls hate him. :( But he is so friendly to people I just hate to give him up. :hit

I was ok with the decision yesterday. . hubby is putting together a transport cage to take him to the sale next Saturday and now I feel like crying.

Yes. . and no. I don't want to condemn him to a life of solitude. . and I've already got ducks in three different places as it is. And I live in town so I can't really have another flock just for him. And If He is anywhere he can see the flock he beats himself against the wire and about kills himself. I just have to learn to let some of them go. :(
