Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Yes. . and no. I don't want to condemn him to a life of solitude. . and I've already got ducks in three different places as it is. And I live in town so I can't really have another flock just for him. And If He is anywhere he can see the flock he beats himself against the wire and about kills himself. I just have to learn to let some of them go. :(

Its horrible, I know. :hit:hugsWe've had to rehome 3 roo's over the years here. I know people do it all the time & don't think anything about it, but its real life trauma when it happens here. I'm still not over letting any of them go. :hit

So hubby and I decided yesterday that we have to get rid of a drake. After Sofie s jail break yesterday she got roughed up pretty bad and so I took Memphis out and peace unto all was restored in the palace. All the girls hate him. :( But he is so friendly to people I just hate to give him up. :hit

I was ok with the decision yesterday. . hubby is putting together a transport cage to take him to the sale next Saturday and now I feel like crying. View attachment 1318997 I'm going to miss him. :(

I hated to get rid of Ion too, but some things just have to be done. I'd like to have him back now, since the stupid hawk killed Bacardi, but I have no doubt that Lexi will hatch a few boys anyway, in a couple of weeks.

And I have an external pip in the incubator! :ya

Oh correction. . I have ducks in 4 places at the moment. . Memphis and duck are temporary cell mates.

I thought about you and Lon last night when we were discussing it. Like you said. . if I end up letting one sit on eggs then it's even worse for the girls. It's for the ladies. I keep telling myself that.

There are 3, one hadn't come out to play yet.
I was told they had just fledged from momma when I got them, I keep waiting for their ceres to change, but they haven't yet, i believe they are a little over 3 months old now. One is a week older than the other 2.

They sure look nice and healthy!

Glad she fell asleep for you, but yea, grandparents don't have those rules. :D

:lau on the creepy factor and the white eggs!

Dudders is still very curious of the budgies, so I am not able to let they fly about just yet. unfortunately i don't let them out very often, so their flight skills are still weak, but they try!

omg :lau
Got yer boots on? Or just the bib?

Right! :gig

Dan is our token youngen. He pops in with pics of his animals from time to time. :p

Agreed, but she is convinced otherwise. So....I'll happy accept eggs from her test. :D
Yes they do.

I know it's hard, but better than ending up with injuries/truma that were preventable... :(
