Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I love Ray Stevens! Got to see him perform live at a little county fair north of here, about 30 years ago. You know, until then, I didn't know what a creepy song "It's Me Again Margaret" was. I think my favorite is the "Mississippi Squirrel Revival".
Mississippi Squirrel Revival is a real classic. Wouldn't be surprised to find out it was his best-selling record, and that's saying something.

The only big name artists I've ever seen live are the Statler Brothers (more than once), and Conway Twitty, when he stepped in for an ailing Loretta Lynne at our county fair many moons ago.

The year before Ray Stevens, we got to see Johnny Cash at that same little fair. Those two are the only big name artists I've ever seen live. Would love to see the Statler Brothers or the Oak Ridge Boys. Conway Twitty was scheduled to sing at a fall festival at another of our area small towns, but died a couple of months before the festival.

Merle Haggard was the same way here. He was booked into the Charlestown Casino over in West-by-God Virginia last year, but died a month or so earlier.

Duckling looked a bit wobbly this morning. I've been giving it vitamin water that has some niacin in it.. And the feed has niacin in it. Same feed I used last time with no issues. . . but I'm wondering if it is eating enough. I've barley seen it eat. Ugh. Darn ducks just worry me constantly. Think I'll go by the feed store and see if I can get the liquid stuff Jana uses.

Merle was a local guy - lived in Palo Cedro, one of the little burbs of Redding. He had his favorite restaurants, etc. But I never saw him out and about.
