I would love some help planting! Hubby can't dig because it aggravates his kidney stones and he pees blood. Plus he dislikes getting his hands dirty. I have a spare room available! Can I come help plant? I really could use some diet therapy. We have snow on the ground with another 5-8” of the stuff predicted for Sunday.
Same here. I fought with netting long enough. Little more expense, but worth it in saved time and aggravation!
On my way...I would love some help planting! Hubby can't dig because it aggravates his kidney stones and he pees blood. Plus he dislikes getting his hands dirty. I have a spare room available!
Aggravation is right! My run has welded wire over the top, with a tarp over that, so it's about as secure as it gets & stays mostly dry.
However the chicken yard attached to it hasn't had a cover all these years, but I watched a hawk devouring one of my hens a couple weeks ago, & decided it was time. The yard's roughly 25' square, so a bit large for a solid covering. DW & I wrestled with a 50'x50' net this past weekend. If it weren't for her, I'd have wadded it up & struck a match to it! What a pain! If I ever do another one, I'll use 4' widths & overlap the edges.
Me too. I have zero patience for something like that.Good for DW! Glad she helped you out.![]()
