Anything is possible. We lock our garage and workshop if we both leave. And we lock our doors in the house every night. Its partly habit, and partly because of bears...don't want them getting in.

I'm lucky to live where I do.
Although 30 some years ago someone did steal all the venison out of my freezer.... Just the venison nothing else.... Freezer was in the garage.....I assume it was people I was in the Air Force with.....I was on leave at the time.

I thought I'd better check in .This stomach bug is keeping me down . Ate Saturday and lost it all Sunday. Was all liquid diet Monday . Ate Tuesday night and wish I hadn't. Yesterday was so bad and it always starts at midnight or later . And DW's fan belt broke on her van when she left work last night . Somehow I made it there and fixed it . Was to sick to even stop for Gatorade . She got some and some kaopectate pills for me on the way home . I've been taking those. Finally felt like eating tonight . Hope it don't go like its been going. I've stopped taking every pill the doctor gave me . They just came right back up. It's a sure fire weight lose program . If anyone is interested I do feel better tonight . Hopefully I'm on the backside of this thing .

That's exactly why no one gets to come to my place. They might decide to help themselves to any birds they want. That and biosecurity, most people buying chickens have chickens, and if their birds have anything they could track it right onto my property on their shoes.

Guess I don't worry about that stuff..... But I don't sell birds or eggs. When people stop by here it's gonna be cuz something is broke and they want it fixed.... Wether it's a car or an end loader..... It an electronic item. I have easily a $100,000 worth of tools in my shed.... Heck my tool box alone was $20k empty....(without the added fridge and microwave)....... My most expensive stuff... It's my scanners...... Them I keep inside.
I have a nice Matco tool box in my house that I have to those in. I did lock that while I was gone... After I stuffed all my pistols in it.

Seriously.... If a beat up old car gets stolen in the U.P. It makes the 6oclock news..... The one real crime going on around here is the meth heads...... And they mostly steal from empty camps which probably outnumber actual family homes by alot.
No one really lives in much of the U.P. it's miles and miles of woods and swamps.

I just learned to not mess with the insert if it is still there. But sometimes those jugs leak anyway. Remember when milk came in waxed paper cartons?

My smallest silkie x Brahma girls has gone broody and will not let me near her eggs lol there had to be about 20 under her (found out hubby has not collected the eggs for 2 days he was on egg duty as I was dealing with chicks.

Also now I want a lil goat after seeing that pic lol.

Oh wow... Will she sit tight and hatch?

The carpenter bees are back! They drill holes in our log cabin, lay eggs and repeat. We paid to have the house sprayed once but of course it doesn't last. At least the honey bees that were collected have not returned since they got the queen. The hive was in our eaves! What a mess. That is why i call this the bee house. Our last house was an ant house. All sorts of ants, inside and out. Ugh.

A lot of times with CL, I go to the closest grocery store to meet up, because we are a bit off the beaten path. Every now and then I have people come to the house, but they only get to come into the laundry room to pick up chicks.

Funny story though... I had been having on and off conversations with this lady about birds and chicks, etc. Anyway, she ordered some, and she and her kiddos came out to pick them up. Anyway - it'd been a long day... and I have no other excuse... When she walked up to the laundry room door, I swung the door open and greeted her. With a hug.

Hindsight, I should have used an accent and kissed her cheeks too... Just go all in.

That's the other thing don't use CL I did buy a boat off Craigslist about 8 years ago...... But it was 100 miles away..... Our local Craiglist covers the whole U.P.
