Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Who wants to discuss the war on mosquitoes and flies? I already see the little devils emerging. :he

I just learned to not mess with the insert if it is still there. But sometimes those jugs leak anyway. Remember when milk came in waxed paper cartons?
Yeah.....I remember first time I paid a dollar for a gallon of milk...... When I smoked we all said if cigarettes hit a dollar a pack we were quitting....I did. But they were a buck eighty when I did.

The carpenter bees are back! They drill holes in our log cabin, lay eggs and repeat. We paid to have the house sprayed once but of course it doesn't last. At least the honey bees that were collected have not returned since they got the queen. The hive was in our eaves! What a mess. That is why i call this the bee house. Our last house was an ant house. All sorts of ants, inside and out. Ugh.

I read somewhere that carpenter bee kids come back to the hole they were born in. Spray hole with bee spray, tuck steel wool into the hole and cover hole with wood caulk. Then spray the "fliers" as you see them. It took a little time but the author said it did work. I wish I could remember where I read it to link it... Sorry...

Well I hated them yesterday as well..... The tigers have lost 11 straight to the tribe.
Yup.... Remember the milk man too!!!!
Remember the milk box on the porch?
Yep! Insulated aluminum. Take the full bottles out & put the empties in.
We also pulled wagons along the roads collecting soda bottles out of the ditches. We'd take 'em home, clean 'em up, & pull them to the tavern up on the highway, and collect the nickel refund

Trust me I understand you all locking your stuff up...... Glad I can live somewhere I don't have too. I go grab stuff out of my neighbors garage all the time. They do the same.
Only one person I've never trusted.... Hoping he will be gone soon. The township is getting ready to evict him.
But I grew up in the city..... My wife grew up inner city we had major culture shock moving to a town of 200 people.
But when I got out of AF in 1988 was as big of a culture shock moving back to Detroit.... We lasted 2 months..... Then back to litte lake.
Raised my kids here.
Really wanted to move to Alaska.... But Alaskan state troopers show made it look like a druggy Paradise....... They did some police show here for a while..... But it was boring..... Just drunk YOOPERS.......:gig
Maybe I'm just nieve...... As a babe in the woods.
