When my kid was in kindergarten..... His bus stop was across the train tracks..... He got in too the tracks and freeze scared as the train was coming..... Fast. I heard the whistle blowing and had to run out in my fruit of the Looms through knee deep snow and tackle him off the tracks....a split second before the train hit him........ There was a guy hanging off the front of the train to try and grab him..... Glad I stayed home that day..... I'm tearing up.....ttyl

Wow, too close for comfort! My brother almost got hit by a train, he worked for D&H RR. They were working on a bridge and a train came along! He barely made it!

They're making a comeback here There's a dairy farm in the general area that bottles its own milk and delivers it, just like back in the 50's. Use the insulated boxes, too
 
First ffew months we lived here after moving from Vegas... Someone tried to steal our Corvair... Five gear stick. Reverse was actually where first would be in a regular three speed.... The guy hit first instead of reverse and the car shot back in the drive way... MOM AND DAD both ran out screaming at the guy.... Dad in his boxers and Mom in her Baby Dolls.... The guy took off running and dad took off after him. was gaining too till he hit part of the road where it started down hill. his feet went out of him....

Mom was still screaming at Dad.... Couple of the neighbors were out in their yards as dad came walking bad... Everyone turned and went back into their houses... No one even came over to ask if we were ok...

Not sure if its the same ones. Real tiny guys, attracted by salt in sweat. Then they sting you! I have killed a lot of them! I try to swat before they sting.
Going outside to plant stuff. Bbl.

Swear to God we hit the ground as train blew through..... My son still tells that story to his friends 25+ years later.
