Happy Monday.
I loved this Tassels & Geronimo mugshot sequence.

I can get my mind around 1/2 Silkie.
I will let @featherhead007 opine on whether a 1/2 Silkie is a whole chicken or not!
Well, according to chicken math...and their size, they are only 1/2 chicken :lau

I personally think they are WHOLE personalities and might even count a double chickens, based on what others have said about them, though!

Well, babies are scheduled to be picked up tomorrow night. Catching them after dark (or at least 3/4 dark) is going to be an adventure.

Bittersweet moment - I am sure FIL will be happy, but it will noticeable be a bit 'quieter' with about 1/2 the zoomies going.

Ah, you have learned well, Grasshoppers!

They are starting to look like little chickens (instead of babies!) 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰

Silkies have a specific shape, much like Polishes have their own shape. 5 toes, often dark skin and innards, comb and wattle shape, big ol cushion at the base of the tail.
A silkie mixed may inherit the specifics, but not the silkied feathers, then they're satin. Often they also have traits of other breeds.

Satin silkies are basically just a name for a bird with a specific shape or bloodline, but normal feathers.

Hope this helps, my migraine pills have finally started kicking in.

The satin feathers on the silkie body give the Satin Silkie the advantage of the insulation, wind-proofing and water-shedding of regular feathers, a real plus for the chicken.

Kinda get the best of both worlds, the body shape cuteness and then good practicality. Have you trimmed around their eyes? Because they look like they can see better, too.

The feather duster fluff is admittedly very pretty though.

And you still get the personality too!
