Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I like Irish wakes.

Given the family history with alcohol, not something we're going to borrow (almost forgot that my name on here doesn't include my actual last name, which also starts with a P, so I can't just point to an obviously Polish last name;))

In other news, the tax return arrived:celebrate I'd missed a form (didn't twig that I needed separate forms for the girls' health coverage and Tom and mine--the girls are fully covered by California, while Tom and I have subsidized insurance) which could've meant another month from now (normally, we would've gotten the return a month ago...) So now I can admit to Tom that I'd already bought the airfare for the family's flight to Nashville this summer to look at properties, when I thought I'd be paying the credit line back in less than a week. He didn't react well to my reserving the car already (though he did admit that I'd gotten a screaming deal--I hadn't realized that the credit line's interest was higher than any of our cards, so I picked the exact wrong payment method...)

Today i have been working on a three compartment brooder. I just finished the frame, and cut the plywood for the back and sides. 20180427_173613.jpg
It is sitting on my new work table, also freshly painted.

I'm trying to make a spikey, wreath thing for DD1's head. Nothing an ice cream break cant solve, I hope. :fl
So sorry it's taken me so long.. was dealing with moving the broody and her pen. It's more of a chicken tractor but works great for a broody and chicks till I can release them. Then I remembered the 4 loads of laundry needing to come off the line..:th
How's the spikey wreath thingy coming along? Did the ice cream help?:fl:fl:fl

I've got plenty of black things--I look good in black. Actually, I've a couple of black sweaters that Thomas gave me--I'll have to check temps for Monday... Of course, given that it's going to be an informal gathering and Thomas didn't want a funeral, everyone in black may be a bit much. Just when we're trying to reduce things...

Luckily, I was already not going to do any online scoring on Monday, because we'd been invited out of town Monday (plans changed since, obviously, for quite legitimate reasons (was going to say good reason, but :hmm)

Wonder if I could talk anyone into even more informal--bonfire at the beach or something? *checks forecast* Ah, no, 20-30mph winds. Why does it have to be normal?
:( :hugs:hugs
Still praying for you!:fl
