DW, for the most part, leaves all matters chicken to me. She knows my feelings, and pretty much goes along with them, but doesn't take an active role, except for taking them goodies & carrying a stick in case Mr. Rooster gets a bit too froggy. I told her yesterday of Howard's history, how spoiled he'd become, and the palatial estate that was built for him, and how he'd just met his demise. It upset her more than I figured it would, and she was genuinely sorry. There may be hope yet.

Long about 11 last night I could hear what sounded like a kitten getting murderised somewhere out by the train tracks. I bet that fox had a meal of kitty and wasn't hungry for bird.:rolleyes:

Fox probably got a rabbit.... They are noisey buggers when they are dying....

My neighbors are all older..... All heavy drinkers in the day. Now they are all older and don't party anymore. Most have had to give up their alcohol or had to cut back. Of course till a few years ago I fit in good ... But I gave up drinking a couple years ago too.

If I had to endure the extreme snow & cold like you do, I'd probably drink like a fish, too.

Had a stepdad like that. He’d take his meds for a while, get to feeling pretty good and then decide that “medicine is for sick people and I’m not sick” so he’d quit taking them. It was a pretty vicious cycle.

I was steelhead fishing yesterday... And there's still some snow in the woods

My friend got a few..... But he was a head of me on the river and by the time I got to then they were spooky.... But I saw some nice fish for sure..... We didn't know what happened to Drew..... He forgot something and went back to his car and didn't meet up with us where he was supposed to.
So he was fishing the holes before us.
And basically getting the fish.
Going all day tomorrow though.... So hopefully
