Yes I’m not fond of them either...but my ducks sure are :gig...I love hearing their webs pound the pavement on porch when it’s wet may be the funniest sound ever  Went and bought them a big baby pool last night well actually our neighbor good friend did..been wanting get bigger pool as they both can’t fit in what they have now..he hasn’t the chickens for now I’m helping it’s his first experience I just clipped their wings for him Saturday..I’ll be getting my own next year probably some from his flock if he gets a broody or try my hand at incubation which I REALLY wanna get into!! :wee So excited to have chickens again!!!

This rooster has been in rooster-jail for a couple of weeks. All alone, because he can't be trusted to no fight thru the fence with any other rooster. I don't need him in my breeding stock because of his hackle leakage.
Anyway, I discovered he is an excellent MOM! :gig

Ducks are so much fun... i love watching mine splash around in the pool and in puddles after a good rain.:lau:gig
I hope you can get your chickens next year... if not sooner..;)

Well, I still don't "need" him, but at least he can stay in the bigger grow-out coop with the youngsters, and I won't have to move him to the dog crate again. Yet. :p
Hey, as long as hes earning his keep why not...:highfive:
I just had one lone chick hatch. It was under a broody but it was the only one developing and i needed the pen she was in. So i popped it in the bator and tossed her out in the yard. She seemed happy to go so..:hmm
But now its all by itself unless the polish chicks will accept it.. but..:idunno

Hopefully the polish will. :fl

Too bad you don't have an extra rooster that wants to be a mommy. :lau
