This rooster has been in rooster-jail for a couple of weeks. All alone, because he can't be trusted to no fight thru the fence with any other rooster. I don't need him in my breeding stock because of his hackle leakage.
Anyway, I discovered he is an excellent MOM!

Lol well that’s awesome!!! At least he has a job now!! And some company!!!

Ducks are so much fun... i love watching mine splash around in the pool and in puddles after a good rain.
I hope you can get your chickens next year... if not sooner..

Oh yes by next year for sure but I’m still hoping I can pull it off this year ! But till then there’s always the neighbors I even picked out the first six for him he’s got a total of 12 ,3 I know are roosters the other six bit early for me to tell so he’ll be thinning down later...he’s keeping 1 rooster I may take one depending on looks and temperament rest will go to the freezer..we will also have to do this for him as he says he can’t..told him it gets easier and if he really didn’t want to he could try find homes though good chance they would just end up in someone else’s freezer..why not mine??
Sorry I’m not quoting but I think everyone will know who I’m referring too!! Slow internet rn so to go back a page rn is torturous and takes forever!!! I’m glad everyone seems to be doing well moms better...chicks coming into the world and that grand baby fondly called tadpole is absolutely adorable !!!

Sounds like a good plan for the time being..
And no worries on the quotes or forgetting something.... these guys and gals here are super patient and understanding about internet issues and forgetfulness .... id have been kicked out of the pond before id got my feet wet if they weren't ....

After hubby talked to the neighbor and he has a pup missing, we have to assume its what we found. I'd say the bloating made it look worse. There was not even any fur on it.

Room, i hope baby chick is ok this morning. It's sad when mom gets done with them. I still have those 2 tiny seramas that I haven't been able to integrate anywhere yet.

She seems no worse for wear today. I went out first thing & she was running across the driveway after Poppy. No clue how she got down or what will happen tonight. I might have to take Lisa's advice & rig something up.

Sorry you had to deal with the Loch Ness Pigdogmanatee! I cant even imagine finding that! What did you ultimately do with it?

Sadly, a 50/50 chance. Her comb looks red in that one pic, but its pretty pale normally. She was pretty worked up. Is there anything else you're seeing that makes you wonder?
