Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Aye!

Good morning. Lisa, my chickens had figured out the doggie door too, but just the one onto the porch. I don't think any came thru the second one to the house.

Room, did she get a later flight?? I thought old people (myself included) were always early for everything! :p

Pretty sure you all are the reason I have no idea how many birds I really have ...

In other news, I'm starting to encounter what other 55 Flowery Hen owners have been complaining about - low hatch rates. Fully developed chicks - looks like the air cells drew down way too far after I set them for lockdown... I might try a batch with just their eggs and boost humidity a bit more through the whole process. I'm also ditching my turner.
My Silverudd's, as always, did very well. Those little boogers like to hatch!

Such a pain to try to incubate different breeds that need different handling. Wonder what it is about the 55s? Are their shells more matte and porous?

And thanks for answering the M-word tag. Lol. I try to avoid tagging you on that, but this was one that I felt was gonna panic. I think the more information we can get out there, less people will feel its a death sentence for all.

No worries - Poor thing! Yeah, there are a lot more deadly poultry viruses "out there". But, I do remember thinking it was the end of the world for a while there. Thankfully @casportpony and @Ravynscroft talked me off the ledge. (Speaking of Rav... Any news?)

Not sure about Rav. Her DH posted some stuff on FB about her whacking a possum with a golf club the other day. :D I guess her phone is still broken. Not sure what happened to the desktop computer she had, and DH is probably too busy on his to let her check in with us.

Hmmm.. Okay.
Actually, Ralphie, bless his hide, really helped with the whole Marek's thing too... Who'd have thought?!?! :)
