Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Am I seeing that the bed is actually raised, with open space below the bed? Why flexible? I see porous, but don't get the "flexible" bit. If the bed is just the top section, it would need some sort of sturdy slats or bottom, which could then be covered with a material to keep the soil from leaking out. In that case, you could use landscaping fabric, though I absolutely hate the stuff.
Yes, it's raised; 33" actually, inside the greenhouse. It needs to be flexible to go up the sides. The slats are plenty sturdy, though I guess I'll need more of them.

I didn't think the stuff that's currently called landscape fabric, sold at Lowe's & similar places, would last very long, judging from how it lasted, or didn't, in our regular garden several seasons back. Our son-in-law, in the landscape business, years ago gave me what he called landscape fabric that was more like a porous plastic (or nylon) tarp, which I used overhead for shade in the chicken run I had then.

I Googled

Typar road fabric and lots of choices popped up. Here everyone has gravel roads, so you can buy a roll at the local hardware store. Probably difficult to buy just 1 small piece... but maybe not...
I used to build test equipment completely with samples. Lots of companies are willing to give samples with hopes to get contracts.

Also... you could put ground cover trays in the bottom. they have drainiage holes and would only have to be supported in three places.

Most beds like these have slatted bottoms. Thats the first thing you need to do. Then decide on what to hold the dirt in with.
