Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

It's my hubby's birthday too, today!
Happy Birthday to him!
We have a lady on the bus that makes a career of falling down in stores and getting compensated. She wears stiletto heels so it's easier to fall. She did it twice in the same grocery store, you'd think they'd be wise to her.
Id say they are but im not sure theres anything they can do about it..

Have you heard from them about how she's doin or do you think you will?

I don’t think we will, but I didn’t ask anybody today if they heard back from them.

I feel bad for her! It must've been embarrassing & painful, but, who had to clean that up? Yuck!

We have these big blocky display stands, very solidly built. I think she kinda passed out, and when she went down, the back of her head caught a shelf on the display stand. Our cashier got her a towel, with some ice, and the other female with her held the towel on her head. She had some blood on the back of her shirt. There was a little pool on the shelf, and a bit on the floor.

It's my hubby's birthday too, today!

Happy Cappy Birthday! :clap

The modern power boat in the background is a nice contrast.

:D
We were only a couple miles from the lake.

head wounds bleed Alot......

Got bucked off my mare she tossed me over her head and galloped over the top of me. Her toe grazed my cheek.... I could see her scrambling to NOT step on me.... My boy friend at the time Checked me over then put me on his horse...

I think I was sixteen at the time. Still have the scar which is about a quarter inch long.

Johns dad was a horse dealer. He bought em and rehabbed them and sold them at a profit. Dad and John were really good horse men. At sixteen John was six foot six and could swing up on anything from the ground without a saddle and usually with only a halter and lead rope. My mare was full of piss and vinegar at the time... So he rode her on our trail ride. His little white mare Cholla was a sweet heart.

Funny thing .... about two or three years later I saw Cholla dump her owner broke her arm.... A case of inexperience on the owners part and someone on the trail ride doing a dumb stunt. she hit the ground and was unconcious.... There were twenty people on the ride... Two stayed with her... ONe headed OFF to call 911 Pre cell at a gallope... After he was out of sight the rest of us formed a group and headed home.

Woman was ok but they knew enough not to move her.... Helicopter came in to bring her to the hospital.... the two riders didnt get back till about ten oclock at night.

She had a concussion and broken arm.... She sold Cholla and got out of horses...

Has his own back hoe business.... He dropped in on me when my son was about two. Wanted to take me to dinner... Oh mann he grew up to be a gorgeous man.... One of those quiet wide shoulder types.... BUT... He was married and had six children...

Dam it.... Gave me a good by kiss I will never forget.... His dad was a player too...

Yeah, that would do it.

Good Evening, Pond!
It's hot, sticky and icky today. We've been in a heat advisory since 1:00pm. Dog smells like rotten soybeans (probably because he found some to roll in), so he and I are going down to our little lake this evening. He's not coming in until he smells better! I may even go for a swim myself. It's been a long time since I've actually swam in a lake (wading with GD at Camp doesn't count). I wish I had some boundaries where I could swim laps.

Not much else going on here. We've had enough rain that the lawn is spongy when I walk on it. I know we haven't had as much as some of you others, though, so I'm not complaining. The garden is loving it, although some of the larger plants are falling over. I had to prop up a basil today!

Oh man I hate when the dogs find something to roll in! :sick
My MinPin had a thing for rolling in earthworms! I could bathe that dog and the next time he went out, he’d find another!

Lake sounds nice! Enjoy!

My yard is surprisingly dry. We seem to get a short but heavy shower about every evening. I’ve been turning on the sprinkler for the ducks to cool off under. :D
