Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I am doing smallest turkey ever.... a ten pounder... It may fit in the crockpot... we will see. If not I will butterfly it and remove some of the bones then stuff it... then tie it up and roast it on a rack like I usually cook a regular turkey.

Home made Cranberry sauce with Meyer lemon slices....
Candied Yams with crushed pineapple and marsh mellows
Mashed taters skin on with a little Ghee and Cream cheese...
Gravy...
Either fried Okra or green beans... ccant deside

I am not a baker but the pies at sprouts are awesome.... I get the five dollar pies. Usually Pumpkin and apple... and of course whipped cream.

and of course tid bits like bowlS of sweet pickles Sour pickles, Onion Jam, Green onions, Black olives, and Radishes.

Most I can start making this weekend... I want to defrost the turk and check into container sizes... Butterfly it if need be... Bones and bits cut off including the neck will get seasoned and roasted along with some celery carrots and oinion. With a little Ghee.... Then tossed into a pot and boiled till they give off their goodness. Saved for Gravy making...

That reminds me I should make a fresh container of Ghee as well....Then I could do an herb butter for seasoning.

Do the green beans with bacon and onions.

How do you make the cranberry sauce?
I'm looking for a good homemade recipe for @RUNuts , he is getting desperate.
:D

I'm sure the truck can handle it....I used to bring a nice Dakota home from work to plow. It was the is square body style. 93?..... It has the Magnum 5.2 liter ... Plowed like a mother ..... Great little truck.
Always wanted a two wheel drive model so i could drop a monster motor into....
Thanks for the info.
My other blade was a Meyers, which worked just fine; fine enough that I plowed the church with it & my '89 GMC Sierra 4WD for several years. I also want to check out the Boss blades. Do you have a preference?

Well my phone just skipped a head again.....I stopped to PM Kiki and lost my place. Hopefully I didn't miss too much.
What a nice morning for the hunters ... Calm about 30 degrees.
If I wasn't trying to get over this cold I'd go sit for a few hours.
But I think I'll be good to go in a day or two. Told my wife I need to go up and purchase a new winter hunting/ fishing outfit.
I told her it was gonna be expensive...I think I sunk about $800 into my waders and wading boots (but these items are my forever things ) and I plan to have them till I die.
Same for my last hunting suit .... When I buy it. I will die with it.
I left my last outfit in my friends truck....(the truck I now own).... It was one I bought in 1984 at Kmart (when they were still a big deal).

I have a western on my 84 Dodge....A Meyer on the Willy's...... And a BOSS on my Chevy..... The BOSS is by far the Best..... But I'm Bias because that are made in the U.P. but seriously it's hard to beat a BOSS.
You want a 4 way plow...?
No need for a V plow where you live?

Take a second to enjoy the here and now....I hate it when life gets away from me too.... Thought that would stop when I retired... No.
Trying to slow it down now.... That's why I'm here....:)

Good to know. I’ll add cinnamon & allspice. Orange juice seems popular online.
Cheers

I would've been done (or at least almost) with painting today, but the power went out for 7 hours just as I was in the middle of sanding my last wall:barnie I will finish our room before Tom and Tim get back, though! They're due back sometime Sunday. I've already decided that Grace's room will get painted after Tom's mom moves into her apartment (the girls will share Faith's room and Patty will have Grace's for a few days--at least she does have a place to move into:celebrate she'll just need some furniture first).
Dang it.. that stinks.:(
Glad the guys will be home soon and MIL has a place to move into! :clap
Good morning , Pond. @WVduckchick, is that lint on the Pond this morning? Our predicted 1-3" turned into 6" +. not much for many but enough to screw things up around here as road crews were not prepared and did nothing. A 20 minute ride to the doctor's office took 45 minutes.

@orrpeople, thanks for stopping by. Sorry that I missed you, but glad that your world is okay.
It snowed a little here but didn't stick. Thank God!
