Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Still looks like a real hot spot! How large an area are you hunting?

About 90 acres total we own, have a renter on a 10-acre tract of it, so we let him hunt one ridge too. It’s like 5 finger ridges with a deep power line right of way cutting down the center. Camp and main road on one side of the power lines, all secluded woods on the other side. We primarily stick to the wooded half, but I have a couple stands on the near side too, for those quick hunts. Lol. There are some adjoining farms from the back sides, that’s where I get nervous. We know several of the folks out there, but not necessarily who they let hunt on their land. And some of the properties are just old family farms, no longer farmed, but the relatives use it for hunting. Luckily it’s usually just busy this first week of Thanksgiving.

You're very fortunate. No wonder you want to live on it down the road.

I'm so bummed. I lost my only 55 Flowery cockerel to a raccoon attack this morning. I heard a ruckus around 5 AM. It pulled his head through the welded wire and ate it. How it got that close to him, and why he was standing so close to the fence I do not know. But i am quite frustrated, upset, sad... ugh!!!

:hitUgh! I'm sorry! That's horrible! :hugsWe've had that happen to the neighbors birds a couple times when they were out of town. We couldn't get into their yard & all we could do was assault it with a high powered flashlight & rocks. :he

I bought a box of margarine today for barely over $1.00. A pound of butter was $4.50! At the dollar store!

I don't want to know what Kerry Gold costs. I probably couldn't 'justify the cost' in my mind. I know, I am bad about that. I blame it on my upbringing.
