Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I have a double buddy heater too....That I hook up to a #20.
But this little one is great for hunting and Ice fishing because it's works off of little bottles.
I refill them for about a buck a piece..... They last about 4 hours on high.
Didn't know you could have them refilled. You do it yourself?

Yeah...I have a couple of adapters......I refill them with 20 lb bottles. You can buy a refill adapter at the hardware store....I just bought a new one on eBay for $7...... Of course then I found the old one.
I seen one at Menards for $16..... I've seen them at Gander as well

I usually fill about 15 bottles up at the beginning of Ice fishing season.
If any of the bottles look odd or look swelled I toss them. Obviously never fill a bottles inside.
But if you are careful it's safe and inexpensive.
My wife works at a store and she fills propane all the time..... Hey boss let's them fill 20 lbs for $12. With that discount it cost me less than a buck to fill a small bottle......

I have deer walking around out there.... But it's still dark. Look like black shadows.
Was that way here. Every year for the last several a young one comes in every day, wanders around for an hour or so, often gets to within 10' of the window, and meanders off. Usually comes back a couple more times every day. It started with a little button buck, almost out of spots, that hung around 3-4 hours at a time, Sept.-Dec. Never saw him anymore; likely got shot; these trigger-happy fools will shoot about anything in range. All the ones since have been little does. One was at the closest feeder before light this morning; still close by.

Good morning to all that survived the whole Thanksgiving/Black Friday thing. Ours was wonderful. I was able to get most of the cooking done before the dd, sil, gd and fiance' arrived. on Wed. It was only 4:30ish but of course already dark so we just had a nice dinner of clam chowder and fresh homemade rolls and evening visit. Everyone wore out (fresh air and quiet got them) early so of course I kicked them out of bed by 6:30. A day of catching up, walks in the snow and of course lots of eating (country breakfast of Nueske's bacon, eggs, buttermilk biscuits and gravy) everyone insisting on pie for lunch, all day snacking on deer camp cookies and mulled cider and then all the traditional fixin's for Thanksgiving dinner. Boy that bunch really did some serious damage to that 16 lb bird! Then a short nap for the driver (sil) while daughter and I did a bit more catching up then way too soon they were on their way home to Illinois :(.
Whew! What a whirlwind week of preps and cooking for the deer hunters then just enough time to reset and do it all over again. What a blessing!!! I hope all my Pond peeps' holiday was just as blessed. :hugs
