Egg flats.go to restaurants... They use a boat load of them every day...

Okay, I'm stumped. I don't know the name of those compressed paper pulp egg trays used to stack eggs on a pallet for delivery to grocery stores.
They make great fire starters. My source of free ones dried up & I need to buy a bundle of them.
Anybody know?
I just ordered 140 of them for $36 from Amazon (of course); best deal I could find. They DO make great fire starter! I bought several packs of them when TSC discontinued them a while back. If one gets soiled, I toss it over to the wood stove kindling pile. I keep them outside and put the eggs in them daily. When I have a full one, I bring it inside. (I fill them in 2-3 days)
But I’m not sure where to get more now, if your TSC is out of them. They were marked down to like $1.99 for 30ish here.

Just for starting fires. Didn't notice how big they are, but 30 doesn't make much sense compared to 36Not a bad deal, I guess. Glad you found some.
Are those the ones that hold 30 eggs? (And why not 36, really?) Do you use them for eggs or just fire starter?
I must be sleepy. . it took me a minute to get thatOMG.....
I'm pretty sure being "set" while fire raged through the neighborhood, and with no one was making sure they were safe each night plays into it! I'm still amazed at how little collateral damage there was after 12 days of only feed/water checks! (Bless those animal control people - they were on it!!)excellent fire strategy.... being flighty.
