Slow day on the pond .DW took over my laptop today Don't matter I don't got much to say no how . Every time it starts to rain I go to sleep . Every time I go to sleep they wake me up . Then I'm all grumpy, and even the dog won't talk to me I'm not having a stellar day to say the least . I think it all started yesterday . DD and me stopped at the local produce stand for a nice ripe red mater . Sign said vine ripened local grown farm fresh produce I should have known when asked where the mater came from ,the girl working there said down the road. I saw the watermelon box from Mexico. And almost all of the maters were almost all the same size . It sure was pretty . We had burgers last night. I sliced the pretty red mater and the very outside was red. The rest green as grass . Oh well it sure was a pretty mater I was snookered. Damn carpet bagger . I was really looking forward to that mater . I just got the goats out of my garden and planted it last weekend It's so late the bedding plants I got are already bearing fruit . I tell you, if you get a mater from a road side stand , better cut it there Snidely Whiplash might have sold them that there mater Farm fresh local grown . Yep from the neighboring farm in Mexico . And vine ripened too. Two or three more days on the truck should have done it . I mean how can a man go wrong, paying a buck fifty for a mater such as that ? If we buy enough of them ,we might just stem the flow of illegal immigrants at our southern borders . Don't mind me I just woke up .

Used to that... here... off season... peaches or oranges.... maters.... come from some place else. or are steam ripened... No flavor. but were talking grocery store... not road side stand.
