Rain! We got 9/10” of glorious, blessed rain! We got some of it over a couple of hours over night, and the rest came this afternoon so it had time to soak in instead of running off. The crops and the garden all look so much happier now. So does DH!

We need rain, and it's supposed to be coming but, you know how forecasters can be way off.
Good thing is the grass looks like straw so don't have to pay to have it cut. I know it will eventually recover but, I don't think a nap will do it any harm.

Thought that I was the only one who knew that leghorn cockerels make great fryers.

You know white leg horns were the most used meat chicken when I was a child .All the easter chicks were dyed white leghorn cockerels .Now they use GMO chickens for meat .

OH NO!!! The solid organic waste has actually came in contact with the air circulation device!!!!

So that is what d chit hit the fan means.Who knew

You know those day dreams.The ones you know you hear something .You know it can't be happing.And then the proof walks out .

yep there are four of them .No clue where they came from.kept hearing them .Thought I was nuts .Then one of the little black ones walked out from under all the junk in my shed. And then three more .

What are you growing this year?

Corn and soybeans for crops. In the garden and greenhouse - tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, basil, cilantro, kale, onions, potatoes, lettuce, spinach, squash, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers and pumpkins. I think that’s it.
