Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

SMH - oh Sour, there is no cure for stupidity. Maybe after covid somebody will have time to come out with a vaccine for dumbbells!!!

I'm not certain there's going to be an 'after covid'. I hope that we get better guidance/reaction if or when an even worse infectious agent appears.

@sourland @drumstick diva sorry guys but this isnt a chat for Covid-19 and its getting quite political... just saying

Seriously? This is a thread about everything - for many it is our HOME. Politics is where you choose to interject it. Please don't stir what doesn't need to be stirred or someone will have to clean the Pond filters.

ok ok!! sorry my mistake :hugs
You’re new, so you get a pass.:) The beauty of the Pond is, we all have different opinions and beliefs on subjects such as politics, religion, and life in general. If I post something that say, Sour doesn’t agree with, he will either respectfully disagree or just ignore the comment. If he were to disagree, I can either have a good discussion with him, or just move on. We’re pretty good at monitoring ourselves. Oh, and welcome to the Pond! The waters are usually pretty calm here.

Ok! thanks for telling me!!! i dont want to be in hot water with anyone as everyone is always so nice to me!!! Could you tell i was a newbie?

oh wow. Do you ever do ridden work with yours?
Not any more. But I used to ride dressage. For 50 years I rode trail Jumped a teeny bit but the dressage was for self improvement. My dressage instructor taught me how to drive so I could work with one of her mares for a few months. Then she taught me how to re instruct her because the mare had been abused and needed her confidence back.

I only got to hang around the Big hitch people because they are so helpful and generous with their time. Got me started with the proper equipment and I got to see first hand how freaking hard they worked. We got to show Katee in a few classes the first year. Only because my Dressage Trainer wanted to take her in. I was on crutches at the time. She won enough money to pay for the entry fees and stabling. It was awesome experience.

I have ridden Katee about ten times and once on trail. Shes a very good girl. But my Accident that messed up my knee put me in fear of working with horses from the ground.... alone.

Once I am in the saddle or On the Vehicle I have no fear... sigh.
