Good Morning Sir Sour and other Pond Life!
I have my first few days back to school under my belt. We went back on Monday. The student that I work with 1:1 injured his knee over the weekend and hasn’t been to school yet. I work with that kid from the beginning of school to 1:30, then I have a couple of 6th graders until 3:15. However, I am not at school today. DS had a minor surgery a few weeks ago and now has blood seeping from his incision so he has to go to the Dr. (3 hours away) to get it checked. So Grandma gets the kids! It’s a good day to miss, since my one student is gone, and the other two have band at 2:30. I’d only be working for real for about an hour today.

I finally pulled that prefab mini coop out of the box last night. I knew it wouldn’t be great, but holy crap Batman, what a POS! I just kept thinking as I pulled each piece out, “you gotta be kidding me! There’s no way!”
It’s seriously like glorified balsa wood. This was supposed to be one of the better ones. I just can’t even fathom how I’m supposed to put animals that I want to keep happy & alive in this thing.

I’m in a real pinch. I not only need this done 2wks ago, but I need another one too.

I was desperate, I bought it, now I’m wondering how could I have ever been THAT desperate? I will put a couple extra coats of stain on this & see if I can reinforce it with zip ties & bubble gum & I will think out how I can build the next one by myself, without DH here.

You probably want the heavy duty duct tape, it holds up under all weather for way longer than regular duct tape.

Didn't Myth Busters make a usable boat from duct tape?
