Good morning!!!Our son, living in Racine Co., has been off work all week, self-quarantining to be sure he doesn't carry the virus in here when he gets here Thanksgiving evening for our two week gun season.
I got a decent doe with my crossbow on Wednesday.
so glad to hear you are going to be able to hunt with your son.

DH went to town (the little, gas station, 100+ yr old wood building post office, small grocery store with squeeky wooden floors and two corner taverns town) to get gas for the snow thrower yesterday and he said it was dead. Even the taverns had no trucks in front of them. a situation that NEVER happens here on opening day! The gas station is where everyone stops to register their deer and/or check out what everyone else shot and then walk across the street for a burger and a beer and swap the HUGE ONE that got away stories. He said he only saw one very lonesome looking older guy in orange. He also said that traffic was non existent on the main highway that cuts thru town. Sad. I know the few small businesses that were allowed (or just in defiance) to be open were counting heavily on hunting season to just be able to survive. Guess like our family, the hunters have decided it's just not worth it and are hunting closer to home, or not at all.
ETA; Oh, and congrats on the bow kill.
