New school week.
Mondays tend to be pretty good in 5th grade land. I set aside a little time in the morning to have an unofficial class meeting. I never know what topics may arise, but I love the way the 10 year old brain works - so it's usually pretty interesting.

And yes, no shoveling is fantastic..but freezing deep down through the soil is bad and damaging .... and lack of that needed moisture is worrying.

You don’t think you will lose trees, do you? With deep freezing with so little snow?

very possibly. Already piled a mix of snow and hay onto my herb garden to try and save the perennials. All we have left in the yard area of trees after the big storm/loggers are a few we would really like to keep.
