Kind of grounded. Remember the "fun" I had with the tick bite between my toes causing my whole foot to swell up? That's all better (yea!) but, it left a parting "gift". Now all the skin is peeling off that toe and the bottom of my foot like the leftovers from the world's worst blister! Sooooo, once again here I sit with my foot in the air again. Trying not to walk too much til that area toughens up a bit. Just as well, too hot and bright to get much done outside anyway. Doesn't matter the screwed up weather basically either killed off any blooms and/or the pollinators so nothing produced or got stunted from all the rain. Even my Canadian rose bush that usually blooms with abandon from early June to fall has just now popped a few anemic blooms. My tomatoes have been producing a few green fruit but they never ripen! Most bazaar thing I've ever seen. Still have my fingers crossed on my garlic crop (picked the worst time to invest in some new very expensive stiff neck seed bulbs last fall). Should been harvested by now but checked yesterday and not looking like at least they'll be ready for another couple weeks, I hope. Anything else, save a few herbs, are a complete loss. Not going to curse the blessings tho! At least we are not burning or flooding!!!

Porcelain?

Pretty girl.

Very floofy cheeks too.

Porcelain, yes. All 3 of my hens are sitting right now. They were not good mommas to their last set, so I’m giving them one more chance. That have about a week to go. :fl

Ugh. At least it’s an excuse to take it easy!

My garden was slow this year. Original seeds I planted didn’t take because of a few cold spells, so we bought some started plants. I picked the first 3 red cherry tomatoes yesterday. Lots of green ones on the vines, so hopefully soon!
Peppers are pretty pitiful looking.
