Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I don't think they look muddy, I think they look a lovely creamy dusky shade. :love

Bummer about the potential males.
looked at them this afternoon (the pics were taken a couple days ago) and two of them, the ones I think are roos of course, are beginning to show what might be a pretty blue/lavender on their backs. Going to be fun watching them as they develop to see what they color up to. Oh, and I got a look at "daddy". He's supposed to be a Lavender/buff cross but I'm thinking there's some Jersey Giant in there too because he has some black in the back end. (the original flock owner raises JG's too). So if I have a roo or two they could turn out to be really pretty or really weird.

Mornin' pond!
Big Veteran's Day doings at school today. We've been practicing for days - the entire elementary (250 kids on stage 😬) and the bands and choirs from the rest of the grades will perform. Kind of last minute, I stepped in to play piano for the music director so she can focus on conducting. (I probably should have practiced more!)

Good morning pond. No school today and tomorrow (weird in the middle of the week like this). Parent teacher conferences today...yay. I wouldn't go if the kids didn't really want us to. Both kids have high honors on honor roll. There's only 1 class I'm dreading going to and that's my oldest's cultures class. He hates it and it's his lowest grade. I'm sure the teacher knows it.

Morning all! A bit "crunchy" on this end of the pond this morning. 17oF when I got up. Got our first potentially real snow coming tomorrow so today is final check around the property to make sure nothing left out that should not be buried and/or frozen to the ground until spring. I swear there is a detector on the big snowthrower. If anything is left laying around that thing goes straight for it and "CLUNK" pa sucks it into the auger every time!
