Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Good morning pond. 65° and rainy here. My flock has the broody bug too. I have 3 broody hens, 2 of which are sitting on air. The third broody hen is sharing a nest with a broody muscovy who should be hatching in another week or so. Three turkey hens have gone broody together in a corner of the coop. I always get a broody bunch in there. One more is randomly broody on air in the middle of the floor... she's not entirely there though so I wouldn't trust her with babies anyway lol. My DD will also be leaving in a couple weeks. She was accepted into the Upward Bound program and will be taking summer classes and living on a college campus for 4-5 weeks. She's very excited and her job told her that she still has a job when she gets back. It's hard to see my youngest growing up and being more independent (she's 15). Today is my DS 17th birthday. That kid has been so busy that he's only getting like 1 day a week at work (lifeguard). He starts bagpipe lessons sometime this week on top of everything else (for marching band). This kid could be a one man band lol! He's in a drum Corps (tenor drums), marching band (tenors/ bagpipes), symphony youth orchestra and concert band (clarinet), school rock band (piano), chorus/ vocal extention and he's in the process of teaching himself trumpet  . He's just waiting to pick up the saxophone that's sitting in his closet until he has a chance to get it looked over and repaired. Hope everyone is doing good!

Good luck to your son on learning to play the bagpipes. I remember seeing Glen Campbell play bagpipes in a kilt. He was pretty good. I heard somewhere that the guy who developed the bagpipes got the inspiration when he saw someone coming down the street with a very angry cat tucked up under their arm.🤪
