Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

It's best to hit those while they're still little cuts/splits, so regular web checks is a must... otherwise you may end up with it getting infected and going full on bumble... like this... much nastier to deal with...

If you can get the clear iodine, that works the best... it's also called colorless iodine or iodine tincture... small bottles can be found at Walmart, Walgreens or CVS if you have those options... anywhere from $3 to $6 for a bottle but it lasts a long time...

Ok, I'll see if I can get someone to get some for me.

Ok

How long do I soak them in Epsom for?

15-20 mins or so... if there's a little scab on the cuts you want to soften it up and let the epsom salt water soak into the cuts... if any crusty scabs, gently pluck off any you can and clean the cuts... then you put the iodine on if you can get it... otherwise a bit of antibiotic ointment might help... DO NOT use peroxide... maybe rubbing alcohol if that's something you have but never hydrogen peroxide...

I keep reading that its BAD to let them drink the Epsom salt water too.... correct or myth? I think from what I've seen, it acts as a laxative, if they drink it ?

There were no scabs so I guess that's good?

It's just bad in the sense that it is a laxative and will give them extra wet, higher expolsive poops than a duck can do normally... considering the impressive nature that they're already capable of, it depends on if you want to risk that while holding said duck in your lap while treating their feet... capiche? :gig
