Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I’ll have to look closer today. Looked like two chipmunks, a black, and two lighter ones.
I stand corrected. There are two black, one reddish brown, a dark and a light chipmunk.

Mama was off the nest this morning, trying to encourage them to join her, but it was too deep for them to get out. So I went and took each one, putting next to the waterer where she showed them to drink. Then she started scratching in the straw, and took them to the feeder where I saw one for sure peck at the feed. I love watching a broody teach her babies how to be chickens.

Me too!

Nice variety. I love the little choco one!!
Thanks!

We got 10 hatched, out of 24 shipped eggs. So excellent.

I had SUPER wanted chocolate, and was thinking it would be nice to get a silver. (Bought from a mixed flock)

That one in the previous photo is a perfect chocolate. 1 other might be a super dark chocolate, but I think unlikely, probably a black.

I have one fully yellow with a little chocolate cap.

And that is it for my chocolate wishes! So... the perfect chocolate better be a girl. :lau

Doesn't look like any silver.

2 are fully yellow... so could be silver, probably white.

And 1 is yellow with a bit of black on the tail...so a ripple! My first ripple... which is cool... but also not a pattern I am excited about.

Of the dark ones, they are a range... I might have to wait for feathers!!!!!
