Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

So i managed to finally fix the brakes on my truck... Finished the deck on the front of the house. At least the basic deck..... In the spring I'll decide how much of it that i want to enclose..... And i dug a trench so i can run power out to my little 4 wheeler barn..... Now I'm headed to town to a Drs appointment

I am so sorry I couldn't spend more time hanging out. Sour, it was one of the largest serama entries we have seen-almost 175 between adult and junior. Tabletop took all day took all day! My birds did ok-I scored 2 over 80 1 over 75 and 2 DNS (did not show) and 1 71 because she rolled in poop and lost her tail feathers the day before the show! There were truly some beautiful birds there. I came home with 4 indian runner ducks, 2 sebastopol geese (a white female and a buff male), 2 swedish flowers-hen and roo and 6 seramas! and a show crate. And I have 4 more serama coming tomorrow! But the best thing is I had the greatest time!!!! babies are hatching in the bator now and life is good!!!

Mel, what is the highest score possible ? 100 ?

It was very busy, for sure! I enjoyed watching the table top judging. Hubby didn't quite enjoy it like I did, but he just doesn't understand

but it was awesome to see that many quality birds in one place. Really shows off the differences!
Awesome on the take-homes! Get pics when you can.

Glorious morning in the north country...... Cold and crisp.
Just as it should be on the 14th of November.... On the eve of rifle season in the U. P.

Ours starts next Monday, so we're hoping to get a bit more bow hunting in this week.

yes 100. type character feather quality tail carriage wing position. all different point values

Do you have any idea as to the highest score given at that show ?

I have judged a lot of field trials - we judge on a 'floating' maximum of 100. The highest I have ever scored a hound is 85. Generally judges will confer and agree on a mutual score. In this instance the other judge and I simply looked at one another and said, "Best". Four or five braces later he said, "Give me your book." When I asked "Why", he said, "I want to see how critical you are." He checked my score and laughed, then showed me his judges book where he had scored her an 85 also. Needless to say this is someone with whom I had judged a lot and generally agreed with implicitly.
