Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

Oh, crap! An adult showed up!! :oops:

Ha! Don't make me use my teacher voice.

Y'know, I'm pretty sure I still have the looking-over-the-glasses pic...[/quote]

How's the planning for the trip going?

@lucysducks11 HOW-DEE!

@WVduckchick
Doing much better. Doc said I ripped the crap out of it so it's going to take awhile. I think my pro-football career is over though.

I like the zip-ties because I can see them at a glance. I'm not a breeder like you gals so I guess it's not a big deal. Frankly, in the past I had a lot of the same breed and couldn't tell them apart, so I used the color zip-ties to remember each ones name. Silly, huh?

Dang girl, you twisted her good. Did the old man take video? Hahaha

I don't use alot of tagging yet, but I think I'm gonna need to, just figuring out a system for the seramas.

I mainly have used them to watch growth, to know which one is which, as I take pics, when they change so fast. I have 2 lavs still tagged, one is Psycho Chick and the other was a hen given to me later, not from my flock.

Eta - the girls Ravyn gave me are still tagged.

Sure, post it!

I toe punched all my egg swap birds last year. I love the results. As long as you don't have a "hanging chad" then you get a clean punch that grows proportionately with the web.

I do not clip full webs nor double punch, so I will be doing a single punch to indicate pen and then use zip ties and those cool little number beads to identify individuals. If they lose those, no great loss, I will still know what line.
