So...hubby went to their warehouse today, where they store stuff for their nursing homes. Beds, wheel chairs, etc. He saw a heated serving cart, like you see in hospitals, that they bring the food trays around in. They are temp controlled. Like 5' tall, 2' x 2' square, shelves inside, on wheels. It's not being used, so the heater may be out, but it's insulated, sealed, can heat up to 200 degrees, and some have humidity controls. (not sure if this one does or not). He thought it would make a great brooder, because of the big glass door. But I'm thinking cabinet bator!

Might take another week to get it, he didn't have room in his truck. But I'll do something with it, one way or another!!

Sounds like an interesting prospect. Guess you can hatch, brood and cook 'em with it - that could be a new "all-in-one" chicken machine

Well, looks like my laptop may be borked--hard drive and alphanumeric keys work, and that's about it. We were planning on getting me a new one, since this one wouldn't've made it through online test scoring season, but thought I could limp along a little bit longer!

Sounds like a good excuse to go computer shopping!

The 2nd fertile call egg (which I've been stressing about) pipped yesterday (should have hatched yesterday) and the wrong end. :/ still alive. Made sure it could breath, drape a paper towel over top. Guess I'll have to hatch that one tonight and tomorrow
