Wasn't I supposed to?
What was your humidity for your duck eggs during lockdown? I'm getting mixed opinions and nightmares.
That would be illegal for him to do that now... Alabama mandated absolutely no movement of poultry as of now...
the lift the poultry freeze by then... did you already get all your chicks in?
For my first I started at 75% it got to about 85% or so when they started popping out, hatched 18 of 20. For the second batch I got it to about 55/60% and it went to about 75% when they started popping out but was a one point around 50% while they were hatching, I had bother guineas and ducks in that batch, hatched 8 of nine guineas and 6 of 7 ducklings.
No, the layers aren't supposed to ship till Thursday :/
Sorry, Dan... let your mom know they won't be coming in...
ETA: where are they coming from? She may need to contact them and make sure they don't ship, just to be safe...
From Estes in Missouri.
Is it all poultry? Last I heard it was just places that weren't AI tested and clean. My sister at the extension office said that she hadn't heard anything about not being able to get chicks from clean places and since they have all the chick programs she thinks they'd have been told by now.![]()
Hmm.
It's all over the bama thread too.
I saw it a bit ago. They still don't have set definitions on anything. I'm waiting for a call to find out if I need to cancel my egg order and get my money back.
ETA: I got my call back. They said that anything coming from out of state from AI tested clean sites aren't subject to the no movement ban.
Shipments from out of state NPIP breeders and hatcheries are still being allowed. That's part of the info they gave me when I got my callback.
It's serious stuff, Dan... and they don't mess around if they even think there's a possibility a flock *might* be infected...
