It's been one of those days...
The thing is, it comes down to doing the responsible thing at times like this... plus, no matter what is said by others (and I'm talking about other states) the ones who are responsible in the end is the ones getting poultry... the post office may have no clue, or they may be told to stop shipments... it may be that they're only told to stop shipments going OUT and not in, but there's no way to tell if any given PO will understand the difference or interpret the orders correctly... best to make certain with your state vet or delay your shipment until this blows over...

AI was reported in Uganda 3 weeks ago, which we share a border with. Since we have no capacity or willingness to enforce any kind of regulations it's gonna be interesting...

I think ours needs better communication and regulation, but gotta say at least they're trying to put the well being of people first... :/

Thanks, Rav but I'm not concerned about it to be honest. No country in the continent can set up anything like the controls that exist in the West and as probably 99% of all rural households in any given country has chickens, it would be almost impossible to try and implement anything. What will be, will be.

I'm sorry to interrupt. I have a question and cannot find an answer. I just started the incubator at 9:14 earlier this evening and the humidity level has spiked to about 70 percent and seems to be holding. I opened the vent holes on top. That brought it down to 67 percent. I read that you cannot open incubator for the first 24 hours. What should I do?

Open the incubator and remove the water... I never heard of not being able to open it in the first 24hrs before... and if I did, I wouldn't listen!
