Growing like a weed!

We finally get to go downstate next month and sees our newest grandson.... It hadn't been possible with my wife's work schedule. Every time she tried to get time off they said no.... If we get ever this time in telling my wife to quit..... Don't want to wait till the kid is driving to see him.

Well I have babies too!

Got mine planted so.... I will have some pepper plants soon

I had just about given up on a flat of chiles and sweet peppers that I planted almost a month ago. Bought more seeds yesterday to try again. Started putting the flat out in the sun every day, and I have some little sprouts popping up. They really need heat. Everything else is doing fine.

I have a different batch from a few days ago on a heating pad. We'll see how they do. If all else fails, I can pick up transplants at the farmer's market in a few weeks.

I'm a long way from corn... I'll probably start eggplant and tomatoes this weekend..... I grow only short season vatieties here as of season runs from June to mid September.... I'd almost be better off buying plants. But that's kinda cheating.
