Love #2! Mate her with a good bibbed male. I think it's easier to add more white than get rid of too much.
Lovely!!

I have a malposition, any advice?

I only have one duck hatch behind me. But if it was a turkey, I'd not open the incubator and monitor it for 18-20 hours after pip. When the voice is loud and shrill, when no gulping is seen, I'm willing to help. Get it out of the incubator fast and into a warm, moist environment. Be ready with dry paper towel, a teaspoon of corn starch in case you hit a bleeder, and a damp towel to wipe your fingers.

Open the chips and see what you can see. If you see blood vessels in the membrane, back into the incubator for a couple more hours. Malpositions take longer to draw down all the blood vessels. If all looks clear and the baby is struggling, chip back toward the middle of the egg, one chip at a time. Look for visible blood vessels. If none, proceed around the shell one chip at a time. Put it back in the incubator to rest if temps drop too far.

Never put a damp cloth on a chick in the incubator. Dry only.

Ok. Thanks. Not real sure when it pipped, sometime this afternoon though.
