Hi there!

frow.gif
Good morning! And hugs all around lol

Thanks, everyone for the kind words and well-wishes for my old mare. She was a trooper, nearly 5 hours, 2 vets, 2 techs (one even came on her day off) here for her standing surgery. They removed 2 fairly large bone fragments from inside her jaw, cleaned and debrided the large abscess track and attempted to remove a tooth in the area that eventually she got to keep!

I took lots of pics but won't include any yucky ones here lol. I don't want to make anyone lose their coffee

She has a recheck next week to remove the gauze with iodine scrub that's packed and sutured in the wound and if all looks good next week, she'll have that pack replaced with a plaster of Paris "filling" infused with antibiotics. That will fill the abscess tract and hopefully she will heal completely and not continue to abscess under her jaw.
I'm very thankful to have such an awesome vet. He saved her from impaction colic 2 years ago as well. 29 years old and I've had her for 20 years so she's very special to me

Glad it went well.

Hope she heals just fine.

We won 4-1! One more game tomorrow in a 1920 era stadium that I love going to. Named after Lou Brissey.
Awesome!!!

Thorn tree ! Deer eat the seed pods and crap in my hay fields and I get little trees that can give a semi a flat tire
barnie.gif
Every year I fix a chit load of flat tires on my tractors .Had a Quail moment and this is the correct way to spell po-ta-toe who ever heard of a toe being spelled to
lau.gif
Just goes to show you that you can't leave your pad unattended

Good Friday Pond dwellers

Nice Jeep id you do what I said with the VIN #? Yes the tree Is a Honey Locust and ain't nothing sweet about it some of those thorns are 8 inch's long
barnie.gif
We call it a Black Locust . I can't help thinking that the crown of throns for Jesus was made from such a tree and wonder how anyone could be so cruel
hit.gif
idunno.gif
Certainly none here . Just bumping into can plunge on of those deep in you and can cause a lot of pain . I despise this tree
somad.gif
While it's cousin the yellow Locust has a small beautiful bell shape white flower in big clusters and the most awesome scent . I look forward to them blooming every spring.

No worries raise the temper a little bit stay on top of the humidity and it will work fine . Check ebay for a replacement fan . Or get one from GQF most of the time they are the cheapest price but they have a $11 minimum shipping fee .Fans aren't that expensive .
